Absolon is an exciting, dynamic and engaging heavy metal band founded by singer/songwriter Ken Pike. Absolon’s sound is firmly rooted in melodic traditional heavy metal in the vein of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Queensryche. Although they have created a sound that is all their own, their music is something new yet familiar, something that all metal heads will be able to sink their teeth into. Having been heralded as one of the vanguards of the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWTHM), Absolon has taken the metal world by storm since the release of their epic concept album Darkness Rising: The Tale of Derek Blackheart in 2013. On October 30, 2022, they came roaring back continuing their legacy with the release of their long awaited follow up album 'A Portrait of Madness'. In February 2024, Absolon released their third and best album yet, The Blood Seed comprising of eight hard hitting traditional metal tunes. Now, the guys are deep into recording their fourth album, In the Halls of Silence. Soaring even higher, this release will be more melodic and harder hitting. Even while trying to create something new and fresh, Absolon does not hide their love for old school metal and it shows in their music. Play the music!
