With his band Blackheart, he quickly rises up the charts, selling millions of records and playing to sold out arenas worldwide. All Derek has to do is bring his young rage filled audiences to the darkness thru his music. After years of success and being at the top of his game, Derek decides he can no longer do the bidding of the Dark Master and wants out. One night, while alone in his Beverly Hills mansion, he takes his own life with a toxic combination of alcohol and pills. He thought death would end it once and for all and set him free but, Derek soon learns that, even in death, there is no escaping the Dark Master or the path he chose all those many years before.
